I Believe.
Edited on Sun Jul-20-08 02:32 PM by garybeck
I believe that no matter how bad things are, they can get better.

I believe it is possible Bush and Cheney could still be impeached.

I believe if they are not impeached they could still be brought to justice after they are out of office.

I believe that despite the media's bias and protection, the American people will reject John McCain.

I believe that despite the secret vote counting and other problems with the voting machines, that the candidate with the most votes could be sworn into office.

I believe that even though Obama is not ideal, he can change the direction of the country if elected.

I believe Karl Rove could serve time in jail some day soon.

I believe it is possible to change our energy plan in time before global warming and other problems cause irreversible catastrophic effects that make our planet uninhabitable for humans.

I believe the fascist changes to the law, such as the Patriot Act, FISA law, and others, can all be changed and corrected.

I believe the trends towards lower income and higher prices and a shrinking middle class can be reversed.

I believe there is enough food for everyone.

I believe the war can end soon.

I believe it is possible for everyone in this country to have health care.

I believe the problems in the middle east and other regions of the world can be resolved peacefully.

I believe these things are possible.
The one thing I will never give up is hope.

5. It's good to have hope.
Edited on Sun Jul-20-08 02:39 PM by Finnfan
However, if your hope is at the expense of evidence and actual data, then it is less than worthless - it is counterproductive.

You've placed a lot of very nice sentiments together as if hope alone can make them happen. What's your evidence for ANY of those statements? And if none exists, how will "hope" make it happen? The Secret is marketing scam, NOT a public policy position.

6. My concern is not possibility, but probability. Anything is possible.
But what is probable worries me.

9. I agree, however....
if you look at all the events in history, I'd say that a significant portion of them were unlikely to happen.

8. I believe the Lions could one day play in the Super Bowl.
I like your post, and yes, I overreached here.

But I too will never give up hope.
