Let It Snow
Kingly virtue on display in our nation’s capital.

By Kathryn Jean Lopez

Washington, D.C. — Tony Snow was remembered as “a man of uncommon decency and compassion” by President George W. Bush at his funeral Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on the campus of the Catholic University of America on a picture-perfect July Thursday morning this week. . .

. . . Bush said it like a man who, with a cautious optimism and a deep yearning, ultimately looks forward not simply to more time in Crawford, but after that, to the full revelation of those mysteries come his Judgment day. The president’s words demonstrate an awareness of his place — even as the leader of the free world — in Creation. And yes, that is somewhat uncommon — at least with consistency and confidence — in our pop culture. . .

. . . Whatever you think of the president, it takes a good man with real humility to be a player in Washington but not of it. In this way, Tony and the president were a lot alike. You’ve never had the impression that Bush gets his kicks being president. Rather, the responsibilities of the office weigh heavily on him — and anyone who has spent time with him can see it emanating from his physical being.. . .

Whew. Talk about a cultist: http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MTU5OTM3YmVmM2MwY2QzZGU4M2QzZTdiYWY4ZDU0Y2I#more

So anyway, I personally think his "judgment day" will find W. somewhat surprised at being digested for all eternity in the bowels of Satan, but that's just me.

What do YOU think awaits George W. Bush on his judgment day?

2. Well, according to Sister Prudentia, with whom I was known
as the "thorn in her side"....Undoubtedly, GWBush will burn in the fires of hell forever, no purgatory, no nothing, just straight onto hell, mercy on his soul, amen....

3. Oblivion
But if I did believe in judgment I guess I would suspect "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" would be what George has to look forward to.

George may have perceived his intentions to be good and nobel. But in reality, he was arrogant , messianic and stupid. That doesn't bode well for a glorious afterlife.

Who knows, he might actually be self-aware enough to ask of his maker 'Why am I such a shit?'
Unfortunately, he was never self-aware enough to tell himself 'As a shit, I really have no business being president.'

6. His essence, whatever that is, will exist in relationship to whatever Truth he has Truly identified.
Since, our primary phenomenology is Human, the character of his relationships to Humanity is a clue to what Truth is/will be accessible to this man. It appears to me that his perception of Humanity is quite limited to his own context, outside of that he will be clueless, existing in an amorphous cloud with few identifiable connections to what we know as Life.

But then, he could always save himself somehow before "the school" closes and its "lights" go out.

8. " it’s important to celebrate good men who aren’t afraid to recognize there’s a power greater than
their own" ... unfortunately that power is the Constitution and the rule of law, not God

12. There's no easy way to break this to you Kathryn.
Chucklenutz is looking forward to skipping town in January, his friends and families richer thanks to him, and laughing all the way to Paraguay at how he played you and the rest of the fundie right for suckers.

Judgement Day for him would hopefully include proceedings at The Hague.
