Berlusconi's gone too far
"Recently, Italian officials have spoken of a "Roma emergency" in big cities, linking crime to the minority. Some cities have appointed special commissioners to deal with the issue."

Sounds too much like "Jewish question" to me. With Roma camps being burned down, this constant scapegoating, and just recently, two young Roma girls were found dead with mysterious circumstances.

Let's see here, Roma are being identified and put into databases, there is widespread scapegoating and paranoia of them (Which is coming from the government by the way); what next huh? Special police units to 'police' (terrorize) the Roma? "Work" camps to "get them off the streets"? Genocide?

The Axis of Evil is much closer than we think.

1. Closest analogy you've got
is Mexico - not the "Jewish question".

5. The situation in Italy

is a biproduct of Romania and Bulgaria joining the EU last year. I only used Mexico as an example because it is also joined geographically to the USA and some of its citizens , as you are aware , tend to migrate.

I suppose I could've used Canada but superficially Canadians don't want to be in the USA.

6. Actually there are far more Canadians who move to the US than Americans who move to Canada
Edited on Mon Jul-21-08 11:03 AM by Freddie Stubbs
In 2006, 10,942 Americans moved to Canada, while 23,913 Canadians moved to the US:

2. more right wing domestic oppression
how people can be right wing is beyond me. I just was not brought up that way. To actively seek out a portion of a population in your own country and oppress them in what ever fashion possible is sick and extreme.
