Meanwhile over in the place where, ummm...
...the actual guy who engineered the attack on the WTC lives (and very well, thank you very much) there's been an uptick in American fatalities.

Extrapolating and interpolating the data, the casualty count will be 250 by year's end representing the fourth straight year of escalating KIAS. Oh, hell, why am I writing the Pentagon's Powerpoint for them?

1. I love how when we founded and funded them, we called them Mujahideen, now they're the enemy
and we call them Al Qaeda. Their "leader"= bin Laden. Our president's daddy was meeting with whom on 9/10 (the day before 9/11)? oh yes, a brother of bin Laden at the Carlyle Group annual investor conference at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Washington, DC. Among the guests of honor is investor Shafig bin Laden, brother of Osama bin Laden.

The Mujahideen served our purposes in Afghanistan against the Soviets and they still serve their corporate masters today under the name "Al Qaeda".

5. That's the biggest reason why I never bought into the War On Terror
For me, it was like this: before September 11 I was minding my own business. After September 11 we had a new enemy who were the most evel people the world had ever known, in both Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. I'd never heard of Al Qaeda, and hadn't really heard much about Saddam in 15 years. Suddenly they're both the AntiChrist and Hitler rolled into one. When you go from complete anonymity to the sole threat to all freedom all at once, it looks suspicious. I start to question the official line at that point.

2. Those figures will go up if we actually engage
them. You are probably well aware of what Afghanistan does to invaders.

4. Yes, I am well aware....
...but the guy who killed 3000 Americans (not the thing in the White House, OBL) still lives. I, and a lot of others who oppose the war in Iraq, are willing to engage the enemy until that SOB is brought to justice.

6. I agree. If only we ran the show we
could have saved a lot of people from unnecessary death.
