So why has Cox cable taken out MSNBC? |
|
Was there some important news? I think I am going to buy satellite.

1. Go Dish, you will never look back. |
|
It's worth it just for the DVR.

11. I have DSL for Internet. |
|
And I've lost signal for a few seconds twice in the past year. It's not really an issue.

hmm...who provides the DSL though? |
|
that's good that your tv signal is reliable. I absolutely need good internet connectivity for my work, that's one of the big sticking points about dumping comcast.

20. Yes, you will look back the minute you get some bad weather. |
|
You will be cursing Dish. I was sick of losing reception every time it rained, so I just switched to cable. And Comcast also gives you a DVR.

3. If you go DirecTV, you get LinkTV. |
|
If you go Dish, you should get LinkTV and Free Speech TV.
I just turned off my DirecTV service since I had no business having television while I'm unemployed. But I miss LinkTV and PBS.
Back to your original question, did Cox kill MSNBC, or did they move it into a higher tier access package? I saw people posting about that with Comcast recently.

I get a recording that "all circuits are busy" and a circuit busy tone.

9. Isn't DirectTV owned by Rupert Murdoch? Why give money to that Nazi neo-con? n/t |

12. Because even Rupert is still bound by some laws. |
|
In order to be allowed to have access to those satellite transmission waves, he has to carry public utility channels. So you get LinkTV, a pile o' religious channels, and a bunch of interesting foreign channels.
In this day and age, you can either pay a cable company, a telecom company, or a satellite company. When all three of them are evil, you get to either go without access to a lot of good information, or you pick the one with the greatest utility.
So, I am a DirecTV fan.

6. I'm watching it right now on channel 63. Two channels lower than it's usual 65. You might |
|
want to look around. They probably just moved it for some lame reason...

Ha, fooled them! I found it on my own. How stupid do they think a KO viewer is, like we weren't going to find it or something. Those neo-cons have to get up pretty early to put one over on us!

|
There was no notice that they were moving it to 63 and rumor has it they are moving up into the 100 channels so a converter box will have to be hooked up to watch Keith. They suck ass alright. Also being sued for I forget what its called, but interferring with internet traffic.

15. I think that was Comcast... |
|
Although, it's possible Cox was up to that as well. I have Comcast for cable, and they pulled that stunt with moving it to "Digital Cable" from regular analog cable last year. Used to be able to watch it in the office, had to go in the living room from then on. Those assclowns!

moved it to a digital station. Do you have a digital box? That's what Comcast has done.
Cable isn't enough...Digital cable is what is going to be necessary in February.

19. Did they totally remove it or just move to the digital side? |
|
Many channels are being moved to the digital side because analog channels take up valuable bandwith that can be used for HDTV channels and other stuff. They did it because their deal allows them to.
