I've decided I'm going to start my own news network, and here is my all-star anchor/reporter line-up |
|
Keith Olbermann Rachel Maddow Chuck Todd Jon Stewart Stephen Colbert Jeffrey Toobin Bill Moyers Jim Lehrer Charlie Rose Amy Goodman
These, I think, are the most level-headed and intelligent people taking up space on my TV screen today.
So given the chance to assemble the best news team possible today, who's on your list?

5. HBO made him take the summer off |
|
I saw an interview with him once where he said that he would like to do the show 50 weeks a year.

Real Time is one of the few shows that Mrs Lasher and I actually plan to watch on a regular basis.

9. yeah, I really like it too |

Once in a while, Maher will make a comment that I think is particularly boneheaded. I find his antipathy toward children to be especially peculiar. But overall, Real Time is one of my favorite shows. I think it will be back in about a month. Maybe five weeks.

10. I sometimes watch an old episode via on-demand. |
|
But since his show is so focused on current affairs it's not the same as watching a nice fresh broadcast.

...plus Eric Alterman, Dan Froomkin, Ronnie Reagan, Phil Donahue and maybe some others. I'm not crazy about Chuck Todd or Charlie Rose.
Or we could just let Bill Moyers be in charge of the whole thing and it would be perfect and excellent. He's amazing.

6. And dont forget teh funny... MORNING SEDITION!!!!! |
|
hee hee sorry, but I really miss marc and Mark in the morning, with the entire cast n crew. They really made swallowing the poison pill of the daily news, and the fact that my country is going into the toilet so much easier. I kept my sanity, and lost it a bit when they went off the air

I like Stewart Cheifet. (I may have spelled his name wrong.) He used to host a show on PBS called The Computer Chronicles. More recently, I've seen him on LinkTV.

Is she even on CNN anymore. She's far and away their best reporter, and I don't think I ever see her on there anymore. But I don't watch CNN much these days.
My late dad had a crush on her. He called her something like "that bad-ass news lady."

17. Great lineup. The one person I'd definitely add as a reporter |
|
would be Ashleigh Banfield.
