4. OK, 2, but....
Why just Dean? Send this to every relevant strategic person and place we can think of. Go viral. Make an aspirational goal of "national buzz".

6. Sounds good
It doesn't just have to be to Dean. But we'd need a list of names and email addresses of other people to send it to.

21. Swing states are most important -- that's where the Thugs do real damage.
If #2 is chosen, I'll ask the Election Reform Forum to help compile a list for us.

Hell, we'll need that list no matter what because somehow we have to alert people working in those states.

and would love for DU to hit its goal.

But in the future, can we please consider a mass email about McCain's quotes on Social Security and those living off the government contrasted with the fact that he gets $58,000 per year in disability and about $24,000 in Social Security and $160,000 per year as a Senator.

That totals $242,000 in tax dollars he collects each and every year from the government. Not to mention the benefits he gets.

I think that would be interesting for people to know.

8. An addendum to #2
Not just check your registration, but make sure you have what you need ot get in to vote. I'm thinking of my state (Indiana), where you need a state-issued photo ID.

Yeah, the law is shit, but until it's gone, you have to comply with it.

Head off any chances of them turning voters away. I like the "All Ducks In A Row" addendum.

27. And denying registered Democrats is the way they will try to steal this year.
Yes, you are so right.

There has been too much attention to the machines so this year, they're going to try to do it silently and invisibly through disappearing our registrations and disallowing our voters who show up to the polls.

And Greg Pallast said something really smart about being challenged: don't vote alone. Go with a friend or friends.

I am dirt-poor, but I'll roll up my quarters and at least give $10. My second choice would be the Dean option.

26. For those who wish to donate, what's the most effective way?
I want to donate to both the Obama campaign and my local Dems, but money is tight, and since I'm about to move with no job lined up yet, likely to get tighter. Put it this way: if I can only afford one major donation, how/when should I do it? Right away? Later in the campaign? (I'm thinking particularly of the deadline for matching funds in the primaries; is there something comparable for the GE? Pardon my ignorance.)

My current plan is to donate what I'm sure I can afford to Obama (through DU, natch) and after my finances are more certain, donate to local Dems.

Any alternative suggestions?

The new action has been posted here:

We will definitely do the Money Bomb at some point, probably closer to the election. For those of you who wish to donate to the Obama campaign anyway, please use the DU link:

Thanks again
