I heard the man say "friggin'" for the very first time. This man is one of the most decent political hosts I have ever heard. But man is he mad at the right wing and the Republican Party in general.

4. What a brilliant rant he had gone on earlier, where he talked

about the war crimes of Karavich (detailing the "rape camps" that were set up), and segued into his description of how Syria has become the world's capital of sex slavery/trafficking of minors. Apparently, countless thousands of young Iraqi girls, refugees of the war, are being forced to sell themselves as prostitutes. We're talking about girls as young as 8 years old. Many of the customers are driving from Saudi Arabia...

Add this to the list of war crimes to charge Bush with after he leaves office...

7. Hartmann is pretty amazing

definitely my favorite radio person, and a fantastic teacher too.
But i've had to stop listening for a bit. I'm so saturated with despair over all the things that have gone wrong, to the point where I have to stop paying attention to save myself -- it's doing some really bad things to my head right now. I still skim through DU to get the general headlines about what's going on, but can't go any further. It's temporary, i just need a break to regain some peace and perspective before facing all the bad news again. And I'll be back to listening to Thom because he's the best there is.

8. Thom has seemed more militant since

the FISA fiasco. It really bothered him alot and I think it was a tipping point with him. This man is one of our hero's.
