Oil down more than 12 percent, gas down less 2 and 1/2 percent. |

Oil is now down more than 12 percent since last week. At that rate we should get gas at more than 48 cents less per gallon. The price at the pump has gone down about 9 cents, or about 2 and one half percent. Now who do you suppose is keeping the difference? I cannot even guess... :grr: :grr: :grr:

2. Yes, ExxonMobil would never take advantage of a situation..in order |
|
to make even more profits than they already make. Of course not.

I hear gas will probably drop by Labor Day if we don't have a major hurricane in the area of the Gulf where the oil fields are. And of course, we avoid a war with Iran.
Gasoline prices can rise very fast, but they drop very slowly. Big Oil has to make the Big Bucks.

Besides, why would they charge less? We're still buying, aren't we?

6. I have a theory about why it is coming down so slowly... |
|
The Oil Assholes are taking larger profits now, and when September and October arrive, they will lower the prices down to somewhere around $2.80, a gallon, maybe less, so that Grampa Mc Insain can get in. People, the oil companies think, will be more likely to vote for Insain at a lower price than a higher one. In October, the oil companies will take a small loss in order to raise the price after the election, no matter who wins..
..A lower price would help Insain, and hurt Obama. Obama is in some ways the oil asshole's worst nightmare. I believe that the Oil Barons will take any loss- even a very large one, to keep Obama from being President.
