1. I saw him in person in Des Moines in April

we were about 30 feet from the stage. He is absolutely gorgeous. Michelle and the girls were on stage also and they were just as beautiful. You can't imagine how much better looking in person he is then on TV. And I'm the same way, I stop whatever I'm doing to watch him. I've watched all his speeches.

I remember when Bill Clinton and Al Gore came to Tahoe...I was at the event with ABC News, and the room was crackling. The energy from the stage was tangible. Both of them really had "it" in their prime. (I understand a joke that Bill Clinton made that day even more so now knowing Gore's love of the planet...he said "I know he's about a few inches below heaven right now!")

That was when I understood what made someone a good Leader, it was charisma...it exudes from them. I can only Imagine what Obama's energy feels like in person! and I am sure his wife has her own shimmer too...no doubt the girls would with parents of that caliber.

I wil be so awesome to have a First Family we can really enjoy for a change!

There have been threads about what Mrs. Obama wears, and where she buys it. I saw one today asking what brand/model of sunglasses Senator Obama wears.

It is flashy, and very cultish, but it's also kind of cute to see people who want their own little connection to the Obamas.

The only connection that people ever wanted with President Bush was through a bank account.
