Bush will vacate the ranch after November
Those that suggested Bush bought a prop in Crawford were correct. At a fundraiser yesterday in Houston, he said he plans to to buy a house in Dallas after his term ends.

What Bush said:

It is uncertain, there’s no question about it.

Wall Street got drunk, it got drunk, (it’s one of the reasons I asked you to turn off your tv cameras.) It got drunk and now it’s got a hangover. The question is how long will it sober up, and not try to do all these fancy financial instruments.

And now we got a housing issue, not in Houston, and evidently, not in Dallas, because Laura was over there trying to buy a house today. (laugher.. Crawford!)

I like Crawford, unfortunately after eight years of asking her to sacrifice, I’m now no longer the decision maker. She’ll be deciding, thanks for the suggestion! I suggest you don’t yell it out when she’s here. Later, telling her “Hey honey, we’ve been on government pay now for 14 years... so go slow!"

It’s uh.. caused me to lose my train of thought. Anyway.

3. the whining about govt. pay is what ticked me off
$400,000/year put's him in the top 1% of earners in the country.

I know some people think politicians deserve this kind of pay (I heartily disagree) but he can at least shut the fuck up about "how little" he makes while so many people in this country are losing their jobs and their homes.

26. Yep once he gets out he can start making real money again...
from his daddy's friends who've always propped him up. One wonders though. What is his value to those "friends" when he's no longer POTUS? Plus being the worst POTUS in history. It'd be a shame if he actually had to do some real work.

11. the so-called ranch was
just a front used as a stage prop to trick voters into thinking dubya was an honest-to-goodness, down-home, real life cowboy - someone they'd like to have a beer with.

12. I will always remember that asshat, bush, telling some rancher in Wyoming
.... I'll be happy to talk to you about ranching ... I am a rancher too.

As the grandson of a sheep rancher and fruit grower in Oregon .... my Cousin had a
vineyard and on my dad's side of the family there were corn and cattle operations
in Indiana ..... he made me want to vomit. One day of farm work would kill him.

The press has always known it was phony prop that Enron put together in 1998 &
1999 so he could claim "country roots."
