3. If Brazil can do it, so can we
4. Get every house in the US that uses oil for heat/air to change to electricity
5. Open up solar power plants in the desert southwest AZ/NV
6. Transition every transit city bus in America from diesel to cellulite pure ethanol (Brazil)
7. Heavy research on more alternate forms of energy
8. Middle East and Africa could power the whole world with solar energy, especially China/India
9. Stop the oil speculation immediately, that is 40-60% of the oil price now
10. All government vehicles switch to electric, or pure cellulite ethanol
There are tons of ideas out there, we must do these immediately

Water conservation - lots of energy goes into treatment of water before and after use.
Local food - generally better on energy though not always. I was baffled in the grocery store the other day by conventional apple juice from China, and organic from Turkey. How on earth can those be economically feasible, much less environmentally reasonable (I live in upstate NY - apple country!)
Research and investment into solar panel technology, subsidies, something...

electricity is lost in transmission over distance. I'm sick of this too expensive crap; my solar array cost half of what my car cost.
