Neil Connan, Ken Rudin and a Republican all going after BO. Totally without a Democratic balance. The repub saying Obama can'nt speak extemporaneusly as good as John McCain. And saying everyone new what John was trying to say about the Iraq/ Pakistan gaffe. Really very slanted against BO.

2. I quit listening to NPR during the Kerry/Bush election cycle |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-23-08 02:55 PM by truedelphi
I remember the broadcast that made me turn away from them - they had two repugs, one indie and one or two "Dems."
And all of them were saying how Bush was needing the next four years in order to continue his vision of democracy in Iraq, a good economy here etc.
Gag. Gag. Gagg-alating!

I was not listening to the media at that point- I was upset about Dean getting pushed out and was further upset about Kerry trying to play "acceptable candidate" so I missed it...but it's good to be reminded of what they've done before so you can see the relation to now.

6. 'play' acceptable candidate? The lawmaker who uncovered more govt. corruption than any other |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-23-08 02:47 PM by blm
lawmaker in modern history was just playing at being an acceptable candidate to you?
Take Kerry out of the last 35 years of this nation's ACTUAL historic record, and we would be in our second decade of Full-on Fascism by now.
You can't say that credibly about any other lawmaker.

7. I love Kerry as a Senator and a person |
|
But as a candidate, he left much to be desired.
Apparently you have to sign too much of your soul away to gain the WH if Kerry, Gore and Obama are any measure.

13. As a candidate he had most of the best known Dems siding with Bush and the last Dem president |
|
using his summer2004 booktour to not only support Bush's decisions but DEFENDED him publicly in every interview on the very decisions that the Dem nominee was criticizing at the time.
Kerry had to perform without any Dem machine supporting him - McAuliffe's DNC stewardship had only one agenda....prepare for Hillary2008.
You think Bush was a great campaigner? Kerry beat him so soundly in every matchup, the RNC had to rely on their election fraud tactics they ramped up over the four years after 2000s theft. And McAuliffe's DNC sat on their hands and let them do it.

Kerry beat Bush soundly. That doesn't mean I approve of his positions and how he presented them, and I certainly didn't approve of him folding soon after the steal

15. You mean with no legal evidence to continue in court? Every election lawyer the Dem party had said |
|
there was no math and no case to make in court. Kerry's was the slowest concession in history. Gore conceded with tighter numbers. Gore then UNCONCEDED when the math changed for him.

5. I quit listening to National Pentagon Radio during the run-up |

to the invasion of Iraq in late 2002\early 2003. Haven't been back and do not plan to, until and unless they apologize publicly and on air for enabling the war crimes of the past 7+ years.

And as much as I like NPR some days, the sheer propaganda flowing from them sets my teeth on edge.

petroleum radio for news anymore. just some shows like wait, wait, car talk, and prairie home companion. i no longer trusted them after they did a show on bushco trading cards and the head reporter acted like he was having a wet dream...
