Out of the current major news networks only MSNBC is lacking in HD coverage.
Does anyone know when they plan to upgrade? Also, what effect do you think the HD (and to a lesser extent the DTV) transition is going to have on the election now that people can see McCain in his full 1080i/p splendor? He's not exactly getting any younger.

I only get CNN in HD here...and half the time they're just putting a 4:3 picture with a border. Looks like their DC and New York studios are HD, but not out of LA or Atlanta. The downside is having to see Candy Sweettable taking up half my family room...and you find out who has the real bad complexion.
Our Comcast system is being "upgraded" (which surely means I'll be paying more soon) to increase the HD channel capacity...HD up and downlinks are still expensive thus only the big money channels tend to have it right now. In time I expect HD will be standard delivery.
I'm hoping Comedy Central goes HD...I watch more of them than I do of the news channels these days.
