I was just commenting on how long its been since they've had a real Progressive on this show and I look up and there's DK.

Here's hoping there are a lot of calls for support.

While I'm unfortunately very skeptical about where this process goes...I'm glad we've gotten this far and my gratitude to the Congressman for all his hard work in getting it this far. Hopefully he'll continue to push along with others and they'll have even greater clout to move things along after the November elections.

6. The Catch-22

Right now the entire house is on fire. We're going from room to room to put out the flames but still haven't been able to get to the root of it...the mess is so deep as that it's that we're reacting rather than acting. The crimes this regime has committed are so broad that to nail it down to a simple charge or single person is hard for many to see...all they care about is how much a gallon of gas is or what to trim from the budget to stay afloat.

We're suffering a major case of "booosh fatigue" in this country. WJ noted earlier that asshat made a big speech yesterday...it was the only report I hear about it...NO TV coverage at all. People are so disgusted with the fukstick they just want him to go away...ignore him. Talking about his crimes makes people focus on this goon but they're already repulsed.

Again, my deep gratitude to Congressman Kucinich for pushing this issue and getting it to the point it is today. Thanks to the netroots a lot of people will be paying attention today...a lot more than would have been paying attention a year ago or 4 years ago. We measure progress where we can get it...and build from there.
