5. Christ, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't... |
|
...act presidential, that is.
Wasn't there rumblings among the media that if Obama acted more presidential then he SHOULD then he would step on the toes of the current president?
But having been careful not to step on any toes, he's now vague?
I hate the media.

They have no gaffes to spin. Remember they sent out the big hacks and caught nothing.

7. And if he were specific, he'd be accused of initiating policy |
|
which is sorta illegal if you're not authorized by the president.

8. And this morning I read that Obama |
|
had decided against visiting wounded solders while on this trip feeling that it was an inappropriate action because the trip had been paid for with campaign funds. My first thought was 'wow, integrity in campaigning - what a concept". The next paragraph in the 2 paragraph article got me mad however - it was about how McCain responded, saying that by not visiting the troops Sen. Obama had shown how much he disrespected them. Of course if Obama had visited the troops McCain would have complained that he was using them to get elected.

10. I smell a new RNC tactic: "Vague...." |
|
Which is the opposite of "laundry list" or the dreaded "wonky."

11. the nytimes article explains the headline well. he did please crowds |
|
but heads of states did not get any concrete policy decisions, which is clever for obama because he doesnt want to get lampooned in the states for saying something possibly controversial abroad.
