If we do not get bona fide impeachment hearings from this hearing today |
|
we have already lost it all and are now just going through the motions of denial. Denial sucks big time

has been gone for a long while but there are a few who are willing to fight to get it back. I hope hope that it makes a difference. I have no faith anymore.

2. I'm listening to the hearings....... |
|
And I am totally amazed at the number of lies and half-truths and stupidity that I've ever heard. How the hell can you keep electing these people or allow them to steal power over and over and over and over again....without a complete revolt.
I'm absolutely gobsmacked.

3. Are you meaning the repubs and their two co horts or in general? |
|
I'm seeing a lot of asking for impeachment but maybe its only because I so want too.

6. I hear a lot asking for impeachment... |
|
but I also hear the R's rewriting history and bringing "documents" to back that up. They disgust me, especially the attack on Joe Wilson and Kucinich. These people are despicable.

i'm at work, so i'd glance and if i saw the face of a familiar rw FUCK i'd leave my desk and attend to something else. all i want to hear is the truth after all these years. bad thing is the FUCKS are the ones who will get the airtime in the msm and a lot a lot of people in the US still think they have credibility and concern for the rule of law.

5. I'm just watching it on youtube |
|
I'd have watched it on TV, except I don't have a TV. Oh, and I don't live in the US. Oh, and I was at work while most of it was happening. :) So I'm still catching up.
So far, the testimony I've seen (excluding that of the kool-aid guzzling repub) did not tell me of any Bush crimes I wasn't already aware of. Even so, it came as a big surprise, because they weren't holding anything back. I'd expected timid, "perhaps Bush made a slight mistake" type stuff from most of them, given Pelosi's order that it wasn't to be an impeachment hearing. I'd expected them to hold back because they were scared of Bush retaliation (they could be Gitmo'd as terraists for opposing Dubya). It was very heartening to see their testimony.
We can only hope enough people see it to realize that impeaching Bush is vital for the good of the US and of the world, and that they flood their representatives and senators with demands for impeachment. That might stiffen the spine of Pelosi enough to go for it. Or at least convince her that if she doesn't she'll never be elected to high office again, so it's worth the risk of Bush releasing his blackmail material (it is my conjecture that he has used his illegal wiretaps to eavesdrop on everyone in Congress to gain blackmail material) because no matter what she did to be blackmailed for, there's a chance she'd be forgiven.

8. We won't see impeachment... and it is a travesty |
|
that so many injustices have been perpetrated against the people by their representatives with no accountability. Democracy is dead at this time in the U.S.

9. What we are witnessing is the final act of the grand bullshit kabuki show. |
|
Unless there is an unexpected encore, I really don't expect for this show to have a longer run.
To me, all it's doing is paying lip service to the masses that pay attention.
It's more of the Lee Stressberg school of feigned indignation and finger wagging.
No one, not one person has been held responsible. And if someone tells me, but but but, scooter libby, blah blah blah. I will laugh right in their face, because the last time I checked that crooked son of a bitch is out walking around and laughing at all of us.
Get rid of the current pack of useless congress morons and "elect" real people by lottery, we would have a much better chance at something getting done and it would prove to be very interesting. People would actually pay attention if their mechanic was suddenly a member.
Life goes on in our faux republic.

12. Busholini & his RWing Assholes are War Criminals. |
|
The Regime has committed three major Crimes & the top Dems in Congress were complicit in those Crimes.
This is why there will be no Impeachment of Bush &/or Cheney.
What were those three major Crimes?

16. How strange, last night I was thinking the same thing. |
|
A lottery.
I'd sooner trust 535 randomly-chosen yokels, and I'd be more than happy to give them lotto-size paychecks for it, too. One term and out.
Ah well. Just wishful thinking from the cheap seats.

11. So, what's the next step? |
|
The head "dude" said he would let it simmer for 5 days. Will the "peanut gallery" then vote on whether to hold bona fide impeachment hearings or would the head dude just schedule them after talking to the numskull committee behind closed doors?
Just looking for the process here. How many votes would be needed to pass? What is the Demo VS Repube count total on the committee?
I think the Dem's are really gonna go for it to bring the truth to light. The main place to get these convictions - ask Clinton and Nixon - is by forcing the President to testify. We need a Bush test. to get this in the history books and get his mod squad behind bars!

The two reasons BushCo does what it wants vis-a-viz Congress:
1) They hold Congress, its members and the Democratic Party in particular in utter -- and public -- contempt; 2) Sport.
