360 degree photograph of the 200,000-strong crowd, who came to Berlin's Tiergarten park to listen to Barack Obama speak on Thursday. Adobe Flash 9 needed http://www.panoramas.dk/2008/flash/Barack-Obama-berlin.html

1. The website resizes your browser window. |
|
Really, there needs to be a way to prevent a website from resizing the window.
But it IS an incredible photo.

3. There is a way. Use Firefox! |
|
:D Boy I would have loved to have a battery-selling stand around there!

6. Argh...I don't know! It doesn't resize mine...or at least if it does it resets it back. |
|
Sorry I can't help with that. (same FF here)

7. My display runs at 1920x1200 |
|
I keep Firefox in the upper right corner, taking 75% of the desktop. This leaves the rest for a notepad, icons, the OS X Dock, etc.
When I clicked the website, it forced my browser to fill the entire screen.

15. Ohhh okay I see now. There MAY be a FF setting to prevent that, |
|
if so you probably have to search it out at the address about:config might be worth a look.

DOM.disable_window_move_resize.
This was the first website that has forced a resize on me in months so it shocked me. I thought FF had set this by default.

21. Good. They have several odd (to me) default settings in the latest vers. |
|
I HATED that fancy address bar history thing...found an add-on to change it back to the old kind. :D

24. I think the website assumes that for a panoramic you want full screen. |
|
But I agree it should return you to your original settings when you leave their site.

11. Check to see if you have Adobe Flash installed and enabled |
|
The 360 scan of the full image is a Flash app. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

13. I realize that. I saw the picture, heard the applause, rotated around. |
|
But it resized my browser window to take up the entire desktop. That's all I was saying.
If people are not having their browser maximize to fill their entire desktop, then there must be something on my end.

27. Actually it did resize the browser window but I didn't realize it until later last night |
|
Then I thought that was probably what you were asking about and went, "Duh!" but it was late and I was headed to bed. Sorry I misunderstood.

can you imagine that at the Saddam toppling scene?. As with youtube, it makes it a lot harder to lie. I can see this catching on...crowd control, riot scenes, out-of-control police, blackwater.
