20. Could they get a worse pic of Dennis?

"Still, Conyers, a vocal opponent of Bush, noted that his panel had pursued many allegations that Kucinich and others regard as impeachable offenses: manipulating intelligence about Iraq; misusing authority with regard to torture, detention and rendition; politicizing the Justice Department and retaliating against critics, as in the outing of former CIA agent Valerie Plame."

26. Usually poor photos --- and absense of photos --- is purposeful . . .
if you are a female, you will quite well understand it's the way that women are "disappeared"

and sidelined by the corporate-media -- we haven't existed for eons!

27. This should be the top story on Countdown...

but it likely won't be and Jonathan Turley would likely explain the this is going nowhere, although if you watched the proceeding you might think otherwise.

17. So far, I only turn up two stories in Detroit.
The embargo on impeachment news is alive and well. And that's why anyone who can has to generate text and post it to the Net. That's all we have right now.

I tried to do press for one group and actually got a haircut until the organizer understood that there was a black out and that the alt media was what we had.

18. One of the networks had a quick flash about it.
They showed Wexler for a moment. Down at the bottom of the screen it said the Whitehouse called the hearing a "Political Vaudeville Act" or something like that. Didn't stay tuned long enough.

Typical of our MSM, eh? :)

21. Their newscasts are written by the Corporations and Bushies
SO, why in the world would anyone want to draw attention to something like this! It would be like cutting off the hand that feeds them! They really can't call themselves journalists! They are corp. slaves!

22. "...it is reasonable to describe the president as if he were Caligula."
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 05:06 PM by intheflow
OK, the actual quote is

"'The tone of these deliberations is slightly demented,' Rabkin said. 'You should all remind yourselves that the rest of the country is not necessarily in this same bubble in which people think it is reasonable to describe the president as if he were Caligula.'"

But the president working with his administration aren't so far off from madmen (and madwomen). Conyers, et. al, are not hearing about just Bush but the whole administration and their web of evil. Rabkin's obviously the one stuck inside the Washington bubble to not notice the obvious. The people witnessing the event who cheered Kucinich's entrance are from all over the country, and represent people all over the country. :eyes:

24. I think this is proof that the MSM is a political tool and no longer our Fourth Estate
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 05:15 PM by JFN1
Think about it - how much money would there be for the news networks and newspapers if they hyped impeachment the way they now hype the non-existent "close race" between McSame and Obama? The fact they are willing to turn their backs on the load of cash impeachment coverage represents seems to suggest they are ignoring it for political reasons; not business reasons.

25. Take it as a signal of how nervous they are and how desperate . . ..
think about WHY they can't even let the public know that this went on today . . . !!!

But, I'm noticing a funny thing even with the little TV I montior . . . the other day,

two TV stories based on internet info --- !!!

And, also my NJ newspaper .... same thing --- was covering "conspiracy theories" which

appear on internet -- and the very well informed comments made by posters!
