9. It sure would have.
As a matter of fact, while I was listening to someone...Presser? defending his assertion that Congress didn't have anything that would "rise to the level" of impeachment, I kept waiting for someone to ask him if lying to take us to war was less of a concern than lying about sex in the oval office.

7. I was just wondering the same thing.
I'm not an attorney so my grasp of the law is layman's at best.

IF a crime has been committed and that crime is being covered up, isn't the cover-up itself a crime?

How does this idea relate to news coverage?

17. I have some knowledge in that area.
I suppose that, if it can be shown that certain individuals in the media are cooperating in the suppression of information relevant to the defense of the Constitution, they could possibly be charged with obstruction of justice and other conspiracy offenses. But, our system of laws intended to reign in those intending to abuse powers is so bogged down in capitalism,...I don't see any change without some pretty cantankerous public dissent.

Wanting and greed is in the seat of power in this country.

12. Oh, you're being so "Old Century America" THIS is the NEW Century America-
News is no longer about reporting significant truth-
GET WITH IT!

You appear to be unaware that there is no longer
a need for people to know what's important.

Now, go and watch American Idol like a good citizen of the empire.

16. it might be because this was not "impeachment hearings". it was a house committee meeting...
committee meetings are everyday affairs. they rarely, if every get any mention.

but it's being covered and documented outside of the msm.

now, if the committee has the balls to move forward, you will see coverage...

22. it was a committee meeting of the house judiciary committee on the subject of...
"executive power and its constitutional limitations."

that is not "impeachment hearings".

and that's how the committee got this session ignored.

you know and i know "no matter what they choose to call it" it about impeachment.

but...

the fucking truth of the matter is that the House Judiciary Committee on Friday, July 25, 2008 held a hearing entitled, "Executive Power and Its Constitutional Limitations."

think about that for a minute. think about who controls the house judiciary committee, and how they wanted this to be perceived.

"executive power and its constitutional limitations."

right.

i wouldn't blame the msm in this case, i would blame the house judiciary committee...
