So today they threw us a bone. |
|
I guess now they expect us to roll over, wag our tails, and maybe go out back to play some fetch with the kids while they retire to the den to catch up on their REAL work (whatever the hell that may be).
Did anything real happen today? Are we even an inch closer to genuine action?
I honestly don't know.
In the end, just what the hell happened?
And by the way, why the hell is Rove still walking around free?

2. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six! |
|
I hear your frustration, and I share it...
I doubt very much that we're any nearer to any real sort of action...
I hope I'm wrong.

3. So when can we expect the bill banning any pardons for the six month period |
|
before the President leaves office?
This sounded like the only thing any of these hacks were willing to actually DO. Wonder if it just gets forgotten? We need to contact Rep. Wexler and ask him to set it in motion.
NO pre-emptive pardons for ANY of Bush's cronies!

4. Either just before the next inauguration, or maybe even the day after the election - |
|
if Obama wins it. When that happens count on it: this cabal of thugs and pirates will start running the shredding machine on overdrive, and ol' dickie may just have another mysterious office fire. There will be wholesale pardons, destruction of evidence and other fast maneuvering to cover their tracks so they don't leave any fingerprints. But there's a SHITLOAD of tracks to cover, and I bet by then, the key word will be "frantic." Another key word will be "panic." Gotta sew all the jewelry into the garment seams and otherwise prepare for a giant smuggling operation out of the White House and OEB. To cover all tracks. If they can. If they can keep all those tracks straight.
'Cause that'll be EIGHT YEARS of tracks to cover. EIGHT YEARS of shit they have to remember and dig up so they can destroy it. And they've had an awfully long time to be frickin' cocky about it, so I think it's fair to expect that somebody's gonna forget or overlook something.
OR... after awhile, and the glow fades, and the fresh air blows, somebody's gonna pull a Scott McClellan and grow a conscience all of a sudden.

11. If'n we see or hear of wonder boy giving out blanket pardons here in the next few days |
|
we'll know for sure that we know what we know and that he/they will know that we know what we know. I know it sounds like rummy there but you know. Lets see if he tries to get ahead on the curve on this or not.

5. Any more petitions or publicity stunts we can do? |
|
They already know who we are, so let's just get louder and louder to make ourselves look bigger and more powerful. That might intimidate the other side a little bit.

6. We're gnats buzzing 'round their heads. |
|
If they hear us at all it's as a faint but annoying whine.
That's ALL we are, no matter how loudly we shout.
Funny how something we so badly needed seems to have turned me into a raving cynic...

7. Today destroyed any notion that they have a plan to indict |
|
or charge or even arrest the scumbags when they are out of office. Everytime one of them would ask the experts for a remedy, the remedy was to impeach. Oh but, they didn't want to do that, what else can they do? They were clueless! Even the ones who should know better. The 6 month pardon expiration sounds good, but I think Fein was against it because it would be unconstitutional to mess with the pardon power or something to that effect. Today they exposed themselves for the idiots they are and I mean both sides. It was just a show. Other then impeach, there really is nothing they can do.

I'm sorry if anyone was shocked. It's not actually that surprising.

9. They all know better, even the Republicans. |
|
This hearing was meant to diffuse the anger while Obama was out of the country.
But, we don't stop here. There is no limit to working for getting Bush/Cheney in front of a judge, even if it's the ICC. The people that put on this show don't get it. We're not going to stop.

10. Seems the Democratic majority was perfectly willing |
|
to give the bushes all one big hug.
When bush whips out his pardon pen, you can bet the crimes mentioned at this hearing will be on the top of his list to pardon.
