Why aren't the reporters flooding into Iraq to show us first hand the surge success? |
|
You think they would all be there standing in the recently safe streets with camera crews in tow showing off McCains success. Wouldn't you? Why isn't Fox news and Geraldo over there with his little pistol doing man in the street interviews?
Why the lack of coverage if everything is going so swimmingly.
I will tell you why. The pictures would not reflect what we are being told to believe. That is why.

isn't "Mission Accomplished" Bush there, prancing around Baghdad? He could even do a little shopping!

9. Of course! I've asked that, here, before. Remember back when they said |
|
there were amusement parks in Baghdad? That was over a year ago, IIRC. It was also during the same time period when bodies with drill holes were being dumped everywhere.
I said that I hoped they weren't dumping these bodies near the amusement parks. Would scare the children, don'tcha know. What farce!!
I don't understand why our supine press hasn't asked the obvious question: With Bush's love of photo-ops, why isn't that revolting POS over there, showing us around the place? Yeah, you are absolutely correct.

It's so much easier to sit at home, making crap up. That's what they're paid to do anyway. It's been quite effective so far.

15. Have you noticed that the number of articles about Iraq per month are |
|
proporitional with the amount of US causilties?
In news the old saying is "If it bleeds, it leads."
As the violence dropped in Iraq, so did the interest of the US media. This last week was the most articles about Iraq that the media has done in about six to eight months.

recently interviewed a man who served in the military in Iraq and who, after he came home, went back to report on behalf of a college newspaper as an embedded journalist. He said that his video footage of the fight for Basra showed hundreds of U.S.-backed Iraqi soldiers laying down their arms and refusing to fight. The U.S. military refused to allow him to show any of this.
