"Obama returns to face Mccain music over missed Gi visit..." WTF?

http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/search?p=mccain&c=news_photos
AP has this identical caption listed for MOST of the pictures they are offering at their site.. I googled MCCAIN, and these came up... and also by googling Obama..

How patronizingly inane of them... They KNOW why he did not, and even if the doubted his explanation, surely SOMEONE on staff at AP could have come up with different captions for a picture of Mccain...:eyes:

The whole notion of a caption like this pisses me off in so many ways... like Mccain is "Stern Daddy" gonna chew out junior for not washing the car..or cleaning his room....or that Obama even OWES Mccain an explanation for HIS campaign..

I wonder why there were not captions under Mccain's pics that read "Mccain has some explaining to do about Sunni-Shia definfition...or "Does John know that Czechoslovakia is not even a country anymore?" "Iraq-Pakistan border, really John?"

4. These people really are unbelievable as much as we already know about them but
it gets so frigging tiresome. I wish the hell the dems if they get complete control of congress and Barack wins, they will bust up the media. We do not need a corporate media and can certainly see it for what it is. The corporations run the news which means headlines like this. Look at how David Gregory runs his show as well as so many others. They all are little puppets doing what daddy corporate says. As a result this is what we get.

15. Now Yahoo Headlines says: "McCain closing ground in battle ground states."

Two hours later.

>>The corporations run the news which means headlines like this>>

Too true. Caught CBS Schieffer giving McCain extra help on Face the Nation when I was coming back from MD on the car radio just now.

Media matters has a "keep-CBS-honest" type campaign thing going on. Might want to check it out:

6. Obama has to deal with this fast.
He needs Clinton's war room of '92

If you don't smack this down quick, it will stick.
Obama will be "against the troops" now & forever.

13. He has
He called the wounded soldiers individually. We need to make sure that this gets out there anytime anything is said.

7. This Was Expected
Hopefully the Obama campaign is prepared as well. Again...the corporate media is neither our friend nor care about being honest about this election. They have billions of revenues and their careers on the line. The networks want ratings and the more accrimony the better...the stenographers want their "exclusives" and access to build up their resumes and get "face time"...a circle jerk game where we see the same old spinners and "anal-ists" who can say whatever they want with no reprocussions...especially if their wrong or biased.

As the old saying goes...Eagles don't fly with Turkeys...and this campaign is surely showing that. Obama has shown class and experience way beyond his age or experience while Gramps shows how pampered and out of touch he is. Americans can see this right through the media filter. Our job is to shatter that filter...not become a slave to it.

11. Obama was damned if he did, damned if he didn't.
If he had gone they would have spun it that he was using the troops for a campaign photo op. Obama needs to hit back by mentioning all the bills in support of the troops McCain has voted against. There's support and then there's support.

14. Exactly! If he had gone they would be saying exactly that!
They are so biased, that it may even be clear to most of the public.

17. I just wish Obama's staff would have handled the pres release better..
I would have said..

"Hey, we planned to visit every wounded soldier we could, but now the Pentagon has stepped in, and since it's at the 11th hour, our schedule has been affected...just like when the State Department sent that memo to all the embassies where we traveled, as we were leaving the US... we'll have to check this all out when we get back home"..and left it at that..
