really wanted?
They've gotten what they wanted--no reason for them to plan anything else.

9. Dubya is the greatest! |
|
Dubya told us that "the terrorists hate us for our freedoms" and then proceeded to make us safe by taking away all our freedoms. Now the terraists won't hate us any more.
Well, apart from the fact that we're killing and torturing innocent people in Afghanistan and Iraq, that is. But now that Dubya has dispensed with the first, fourth and sixth articles of the Bill of Rights, it's more of a mild displeasure than a burning hatred. Really.

7. They did'nt need another attack . |
|
we had the bush admin and all the enablers to do that for them. We have an economic attack and a high cost of fuel attack and every sort of big brother attack we can handle.
It would have been easier to deal with an actual attack and I would be willing to die in one rather than see and hear all of this horror that's is going on and never ends.

couldn't plan another attack.
They used up all 19 shitheads available for such an attack on 911.
Such an attack is rare in and of itself. Trying to pretend it would happen everyday but for Bushco is delusional. They only WISH there would be another one.
Such a thing only happens every blue moon. The repukes try to pretend it would happen every day so they can claim the need for power to "protect" us.

20. Never mind the fact that "No terrst 'tacks since Nahn Levn" is completely meaningless anyway. |
|
Me: "CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP" Typical Republican Idiot: "What the hell yew clappin' fer" Me: "Why, to keep the TIGERS from attacking!" TRI: "There aren't any tigers around here, 'ceptn a zoo" Me: "Damn, this is working better than I thought!"
If it's not painfully obvious by now, Repukes aren't really good at this whole "cause and effect" thing and it's exasperating when they keep trying to pull this canard. Then again, Republican logic itself goes over the top of exasperation, doesn't it (see: Reaganomics Redux)?

29. Actually this meme the Repubs have that Iraq keeps the terrorism "over there" |
|
has some validity I think.
American troops early in the war found some communications between the terrorist groups in Iraq in which they said that they planned to slack off on the foreign operations now that they had the American troops to shoot at.
It makes sense. Once we are withdrawn from Iraq, then it's likely there will be more attempts at terrorism w/i the US.
What the Reichwing fails to note is that the total deaths due to terrorism of Americans and others has gone way up since the invasion of Iraq, that is, if you count the deaths in Iraq. This is exactly what Al Qaeda wanted and continues to want. Keep us in Iraq, surrounded on all sides by Muslim countries in a country with porous borders. They can target Americans and American "lackeys" and others at their leisure. Meanwhile, recruiting continues to skyrocket, etc.
