Yes, that's right, nearly two-thirds of the Sunday front page of the Yakima Herald-Republic is devoted to that evil, un-American, military-hating, corrupt piece of TV trash ... "Family Guy."

"Family Guy"!? Yup. Election? Economy? Naw, forget it, not important. There be SMUT on my teevee!

Definitely not family-friendly.

That's what a group of Yakima Valley residents contend.

They're fuming over the TV comedy "Family Guy."

"It's incredibly offensive," as Fay Hauer of Zillah puts it.

... A retired teacher who is bilingual in Spanish, she asserts that many Valley parents don't speak English and may be unaware of what their youngsters are watching and hearing.

1. It IS an offensive, non-PC show that should not be censored. It is also a really BAD show.
I hate Family Guy.

2. Bugger her. If she doesn't like it, turn it off.

3. My mother was born in Wapato - near Zillah and Toppenish...
It used to be the worst part of Washington state for poverty, being close to and surrounded by the Yakima Reservation....
Anymore it seems to be run by the Mexican Mafia, once you get outside of the few enclaves of "Law n' order" heavily armed white folks....

South of this area I understand there are now a couple of boutique vineyards which might or might not support some rehabilitation of the area financially.......but I have my doubts....

A couple of years ago a child was attacked and almost killed by a pack of wild dogs in downtown Wapato.

That whole area sucks...The third world at it's most impoverished, and it's been that way forever.

I'm surprised they have basic cable.

4. "Family Guy" and "American Dad" are the two funniest shows currently on TV.
If you don't "get it"...change the channel.
