wrote "The Big Squeeze". His information is astonishing! We all knew the labor infringments of WM, but he talked about Tyson and when they bought out a conpany, they told workers who were there for 30 years and earning $13.10/hr that they would be fired if they didn't concede to taking a reduction to $11.00 abd they reduced the starting wage to $(.00 from $11.00.

The one that blew my mind was FedEx! FedEx Ground doesn't employ their workers directly. They are considered contract workers! They have to buy their own truck, pay their own gas and health care and all that goes with being self employed!

Toys R Us had managers change employee hours so they didn't have overtime!

Family Dollar hired a manager and gave him an allowance for 3-4 employees. That manager had to work 120 hrs a week just to keep things going. His wife used to bring their two little kids to the store just to see their dad once in a while. He slept at the store many times because he was just too tired to go home.

Dear God, what have we done to our people! We're back to the days when unions organized because of the abuse of workers! That was 80 years ago!
