Congress: "We don't have time!"
Six months is not enough time to Impeach an "alleged" criminal gang? What would George Washington and Thomas Jefferson have thought of that lame @$$ed excuse? The promise to ALL Americans contained in the Constitution of The United States of America and the continuation of the principles of the rule of law("liberty and justice for all")is at stake and the house "don't have time" to defend and protect our rights and freedoms?

Don't have time because they all have to go campaigning? Do we have time to go vote for folks who don't have time to defend the laws of the land. It's a shame we have to try and shame the people we vote for into taking that "solemn" oath that they take seriously.

Do we need to call these folks in Washington up and ask them WHY "They Don't Have Time" to do their jobs.

22. That is their job. It's not written in their job requirements, but it's what
their employers expect of them. And their employers are the ruling class.

3. you are grossly misunderstanding the situation...
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 08:16 AM by islandmkl
'They don't have time' is absolutely correct and accurate.

Their 'time' has already been bought and paid for...

they are just trying to be gentle with us suckers...

4. Tell that to Michael Schiavo
Man, you talk about acting like someone set fire to your ass. When the Florida courts finally decided to follow the law, and that Michael Schiavo had the final say over his incapacitated wife's care, Congress passed the "Let's meddle in a family's private grief and catastrophe just because we can" Act, and George W. Bush even cut short one of his interminable vacations to skedaddle back to Washington and sign the bill into law.

Don't tell me there isn't time.

5. Well, we can make the time for them
Contrary to popular belief Impeachment could happen in a matter of days, not weeks, nor months, and as sure as I set here, not years. Our congress critters are being Blackmailed is what is going on and its as plain to me as these fingers I type with are.
Nowhere is it said that this process must last a certain amount of time. bushco has already fessed up to enough to remove their sorry asses and to send them off to the Hague for, already for criss sakes. Wd don't need no big fact finding expedition, no nothing except convening the court, voting and sentencing. A matter of days at worst. IHMO

11. That book will no doubt be in the fiction section of the bookstores.
I know it's fiction if it's about "SWAMP" reclamation. Non Fiction is off the table in Washington DC.

9. It ain't happening.
Face it, neither this Congress, neither the next one and neither Obama for that matter, will go after Bush and his cronies. In the spitirt of "unity", everyone will be urged to move on.

10. Police officers around here are so busy they don't have time to issue citations
I got pulled over the other day and the police officer trotted up to my window and breathlessly said, "You were doing 112 miles per hour in a school zone, but I don't have the time to write a citation." With that he pivoted on his heels and ran back to his cruiser and drove away on spinning tires.

So Congress is just like everyone else. Settle down.

:sarcasm:

15. 8 years of "we CAAAAAAN'T"
If the roles were reversed, Republicans would've mounted a full every-man-over-the-wall charge at the first whiff of Enron years ago. Which is how those pig-selfish malcontents wound up in charge of everything worth controlling in the government and media in the first place. It's so blindingly obvious, yet Washington Dems never fail to miss the lesson.
