LA (D) Senator arrested for battery and theft
Louisiana (D) Senator Derrick Sheppard was arrested over the weekend for allegedly striking a former girlfriend, stealing her cell phone and $100.00 from her. When police went to his house, they knocked then looked in the window and the Senator was allegedly getting a lapdance on the couch.

Try making this stuff up. Senator Sheppard is also facing fed charges for other stuff.

6. No, we aren't
Sheppard is an all-too-typical NOLA politician. Ideology doesn't matter. What matters is his ability to line his own pockets and peddle influence. Sheppard is a demagogue and an assclown.

4. You're making the West Bank proud, Derrick
So, you punch your girlfriend and steal her cell phone. How does getting a lap dance really improve your situation?

9. The only thing missing is if the lap dancer was a young
boy. But then again, this was a Democrat.

15. What are you talking about? A lap dance improves every situation
Except for, maybe, a wedding or a family reunion... :silly:

This guy sounds like a real piece of work; it looks like he's got a bunch of scandals brewing - a real multitasker!

8. Assholes come in all political persuasions
My guess is that this particular asshole is a Democrat only because his constituents mostly are Dems. If he was running in a predominately white repub district, he wouldn't be a Dem very long.

Still the tally is about 5,000 to 1 in favor of Repub slimeballs.

10. No argument from me
I found this story which is all over every media outlet in South Louisiana today very telling of the man who is already facing federal indictments involving hanky panky with money.

17. Do we call it a dichotomy
or a mystery or what? Isn't it sad that we call for term limits because really bad people keep getting reelected? Very sad.

I'm opposed to term limits because I am naive I guess. I figure we have a term limit option by voting them out. We just aren't very good at it.
