totally offensive, you used to be able to PM them and they'd consider contacting whomever they have contracted with (IIRC) to possibly get one removed.

so a McCain for President ad could be posted on DU based on the number of references made here to McCain, with no consideration of the reader's opinions or the negativity of those references. So by our reference to right wing issues, we make it a little more possible for ads in favor of them to be posted here in the future.

If you don't want to see them, become a donor to the DU site -- it'll only cost you $5 (maybe less) -- and you'll then have the option of turning off most of the advertising on the site.

Be of good cheer, citizen. For every dollar spent posting such ads on this website, that's a dollar that won't be used to post somewhere where the ad might have a positive impact.
