It is not the fault of the children that they had the (IMHO) misfortune to be born into such an unusual and seemingly vitriol inducing family. All of the comments about the children's intelligence and hairstyles seems rather closed minded for a "liberal" site.

I see an unconventional family whose choices i would not make for myself. But i also see a number of smiling little human beings that look well fed and cared for. Little people who probably spend a great deal of time with a great deal of familial responsibility and very little individual parental attention.
