SHooting UU's in America = SHooting Monks in Myanmar
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 05:46 PM by LeftHander
Violence is violence any place. But the fact is, the Knoxville UU church shooting was a right wing ideology inspired hate crime...at a time when RIGHT WING politicians still hold a death grip on this nation at all levels.

Outwardly they will claim outrage. But as the jackass Sally Kern in Oklahoma showed in a secretly recorded tape in a LEADERSHIP GOP meeting , The right wing feels that LGBT, people, activists and supporters such as those found in UU congregations across America are the single biggest threat to our security.

What kool-aid drinking. These fucking wackos are dangerous. I know, I grew up with them. They say all kinds of shit behind your back and agree whole heartedly at discrimination laws and smile to themselves when another "fag" is beaten or killed.

I for one and sick of seeing reports of LGBT people and supporters being persecuted by these assholes. A transgender 18 year old was killed in COlorado, a gay teen was shot recently in his classroom, a gay man in Milwaukee was shot in the head outside a night club. A right wing hate group picketed outside of PrideFest in Milwaukee protected by a line of police as they shouted death threats to festival goers. They were even interviewed by local TELEVISION!.

Right Wing Hate speech must be ignored and not given legitimacy by the main stream media. Talk radio is rife with hate and advertisers need to realize the damage they are causing to so many people.

RIght wing hate speech is not free speech and has no place on the public airwaves. "Liberal" demonizing has got to be stopped, LGBT demonizing has got to be ignored and disallowed from the airwaves held in trust by the FCC. Men like Mike Savage are not speaking for the best interests of the public. FCC radio licenses should be pulled on each radio station that presents caustic, fear and hate mongering viewpoints from any side. Giving right wing conservatives a open mike on the air has polarized this nation.

I am for FCC complaint filing, letter writing, picketing, lobbying corporate sponsors, anything to STOP THE HATE mongering.

1. Someone posted comments from FR here last night.
They were absolutely disgusting. The shooter only did what they dream about doing every day.

2. a UU was burned down in my hometown. It was probably because
of it's anti war and civil rights stance.
