Half the story, All the time.
The surge is working because of our military.....

The surge is working because:

1- we are paying a shit-load of money to people who killed our soldiers, not that long ago
2- our soldiers are under orders to NOT engage, unless absolutely necessary, and many have reported going somewhere safe to kill time, instead of actually patrolling
3- al sadr sent his men on "vacation", rather than face MORE soldiers on our side.... he's a patient man with time on his side..he'll be back..with well-rested, re-stocked military..when the time is right for HIM..

McCain is a straight-talker:

1- He endorses commercials that are TOTAL lies & distortions
2- His knowledge of facts is seriously lacking

McCain is a maverick

1- His maverick days, if they ever existed, are long behind him
2- The maverick image was created and coddled by HIM, to fit the POW, tough-guy persona he created for himself
3- His maverick days were mostly during a time when his party was in charge, so even if HE dissented, the foul legislation passed anyway..with or without his support

McCain is a Hero

1- He was a survivor of torture
2- Before he was captured, he was responsible for the deaths of many innocents
3- His military service was out of family obligation, more than "love of country"..
4- His brave reluctance to go free was probably more connected to the fact that his father would have been humiliated, than any real altruism on his part
5- a HERO, is someone who does something UNEXPECTED, and something they are not prepared/trained to do.. A hero is a person who goes into a burning building to rescue someone else's children..

McCain is a family-values guy

1- He cheated on the mother of his first two children..a woman who waited for him while he was a POW. He took out a marriage license to marry the rich chickie he was committing adultery with, BEFORE he was even officially divorced.
2- He's been an absentee father to MOST, if not ALL of his children
3- He acts ashamed of his adopted Bangladeshi daughter

These are things that WE know, because we take the time to research, but our hopelessly inane media usually just says the sound-byte, and rarely, if ever, follows with the "rest of the story". They happily run to their mailboxes to see if there's an invitation to the next Mccain barbe-que, but they are never ready to be truth-tellers. they are eager to pick every scab they can find, if it's about Obama, but if it's about Johnny-their-pal, they reach for the industrial size band-aid box and carefully cover his latest self-inflicted wound.

1. Add to those crisp and correct observations,
the fact that McCain's never held a job on his own - the Navy thing was a family tradition, and he worked only for a short time for his new father-in-law when he married Cindy before her family decided to buy him a seat in Congress. His biggest financial support in his first run for Congress was from Cindy. She's so good to him, that sweetheart of a druggie.

His class rank at graduation from the Naval Academy was 894th out of 899. That's 5th from the bottom.

Would you let a physician who'd ranked 5th from the bottom of his med school graduating class take care of you?

No. Neither would I.

And this joker thinks he's qualified to be President of the United States?

Ha.
