A Timeline of the Mortgage Crisis.
This is an article from Mother Jones magazine that starts in 1913 when the National Banking system was created by the Federal Reserve Act.

There are sections for important decades, 1980's, 1990's, then a few more details for every year starting with 2000.

4. This is very handy - Thanks CW!
Mother Jones is the first progressive mag I ever read, back in 1980! It gave me a lot of info & perspective to help make sense of things after Reagan first took office.

5. So, you've been on an FBI list since 1980!?
Just kidding, I love Mother Jones the magazine and the lady herself! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_Jones)

6. You're bad! But all is forgiven for posting that MJ link
:spank:
Wow, I'm used to seeing that picture of her in that hat & she looked REALLY different without it! I didn't know she lived to be 100 (pretty remarkable for that time) and she was even married George Jones - who knew!

Haven't you heard that the FBI used to have a list of subscribers to Mother Jones and The Nation?

8. If they're still doing that, it would have to include my 80-yr-old dad
I'm not surprised to hear it, though. I guess they thought its readers were "The most dangerous people in America", huh?

The agency probably had a spy working in the subscription dept. or something (to get the names)...

9. Who knows? They're not known for staying out of places...
...others are locked out of.
