Congressional voting records from a Progressive perspective - Check how your Rep voted!
Edited on Tue Jul-29-08 08:03 AM by Breeze54
ProgressivePunch is a non-partisan searchable database of Congressional voting records
from a Progressive perspective. But we're convinced it's extremely useful irrespective
of anyone's political positions.

We show the performance of members within 160 different issue categories, and detailed
vote descriptions, thereby empowering you to zero in on what matters to you.

To see how progressively your member has voted or explore a policy issue that interests you,
select from a search option below. http://www.progressivepunch.org/

1. Hmmm
One of my Senators, McCaskill, voted for the FISA bill but still scored over 80 in Civil Liberties? Makes me question the whole rating system of this.

2. Check the sub-category "Government Surveillance of Citizens"
Progressives won only 1 of 11 votes in that sub-category.

12. Well...
I find all the issues important. But some issues, like "Government Surveillance of Citizens" might be MORE important to me than, say, "Corporate Subsidies - General".

So I'd like to be able to rank the issues by importance (to me), then see how my reps score.

13. But wouldn't that require a membership, to keep it constant?
They way they have it set up, you can chose your favorite from the drop down list.

:D

14. I'd be happy to rank them upon each visit...
or become a member if that's what it took to store my selections...

btw - I don't see a drop-down list of favs.

seems to be missing a lot of the 110th Congressional votes on different issues.

Maybe they need $$ ? I wish I had some. :(
