How to properly re-edit a McCain interview - Lesson 1
COURIC: Senator McCain, Senator Obama says while the increased number of U.S. troops contributed to increased security in Iraq, he also credits the Sunni awakening and the Shia government going after militias, and says that there might have been improved security even without the surge. What's your response to that?

MCCAIN: At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.

I'm amazed at how this CBS/Pravda cut-and-paste story has dropped like a stone out of the public eye. It's the most egregious, bald-faced evidence of what our "news" outlets have become that I can think of...and yet...nobody cares?

Looking back in Google News for the stories about Dan Rather and the Bush discharge papers, there's an absolute shitstorm of thousands of articles, most running to considerable lengths and coming from actual newspapers and television networks.

Now check for stories covering Couric's rejiggered interview...and if you can even dig out any direct references to this altering of media reality, the only mainstream coverage looks to be the 10-paragraph story in the Washington Post, which spends more column inches gnawing at the Democrats for pointing out the coverup, than actually looking at CBS' motives in lying to the public.

The MSM is really that far gone.

2. CBS and Couric should have been severely damaged--and McDairy
should have lost all credibility on Iraq. And yet all have gone on without so much as a scratch.

3. Rather was fired for much less
Some consistency would be nice.

5. It's so blatant that it barely helps McGrumps
If he needs that much favoritism to survive, well, that says something.
