Ding, dong! The ANWR oil drilling is dead! Ding Dong! The ANWR oil drilling is dead! |
I think with the indictment, no Republicans are going to touch this with a 20-foot pole. So the pristine wilderness of Alaska will remain safe for a few more years!
:salute: Alaska!

6. your statement presumes that the drilling would make gas cheaper |
which is incorrect. Let's not feed the right winger's memes for them.

10. the export ban on Alaska oil was lifted in 1995 |
so they could sell the oil to China, Korea, and Japan and not affect domestic supply anyway. They are only patriotic and loyal to their bottom line, not the good of the US or its citizens.

Oil drilling but the Oil Corps. have no interest in those. It's all BS by the Busholini Regime & their Oil Corp. friends.

9. True, but Stevens was one of the primary proponents of ANWR drilling in the Senate... |
And the fact that the oil executives were paying off one of the primary proponents of ANWR drilling is going to make people a bit squeamish. Begich may support drilling as well, but he is not going to be nearly as dangerous as Stevens was.

13. Whomever replaces Stevens will become a primary proponent of ANWR drilling, |
along with Lisa Murkowski. It's kind of like being a Senator from Iowa and supporting subsidies for ethanol.

11. Perhaps it's time for citizens to start tossing some of that black crude on |
certain people's sidewalks, front lawns, gates, doorknobs, expensive landscaping, spend $140 on a barrel of the stuff and do some pipe repairs like reconnecting the main plumbing to that barrel of oil..........
I've got loads of ideas, lots of dark clothing and some really quiet shoes.

12. I don't see why the indictment would stop them. But I certainly hope |
you are right for the animals' sakes! (What I mean, is it is in Bush, Cheney's interest. The indicted one was a bit player.)
