Most beautiful people in Washington
Just heard this on msnbc.

A poll shows that Elizabeth Kucinich is considered the 4th most beautiful person in Washington. They didn't say who was 3rd, 2nd, or 1st. Only that Elizabeth was forth in the poll.

She is a beauty :loveya:

4. She's certainly a beautiful human being,
but that list isn't looking at real human beauty; it's a surface thing.

Her surface is beautiful, too, of course.

7. Most of those "beautiful people" are PARASITES on the public dime
members of bloated congressional staffs

9. Most Congressional staffers have low pay.
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 04:15 PM by Eric J in MN
It would be better if they were paid more, because now people whose parents can support them during adulthood are in a better position to take an entry-level job as a Congressional staffer.

12. No,it would be better if Congress didn't meet in Washington, DC
with modern communication technology, there is no practical reason for them to have to be in a central location (this is no longer the late 18th century)
Positive results?
Here are just two:
No longer the "need" for automatic congressional pay raises because "they need to maintain two residences"
Members of Congress would be a lot more responsive to their constituents if they actually lived amongst them 12 months out of the year.

There are many more

10. Michelle Obama isn't on the list?
Fuggeddaboudit. That lady exudes class.

But I agree that Ms. Kucinich is a stunner.

11. Rep. Vito Fossella is on the list.
From http://thehill.com/cover-stories/50-most-beautiful-people-on-capitol-hill-2008---40-more-2008-07-29_4.html
==========================================================

Rep. Vito Fossella (N.Y.)
Age: 43
Hometown: New York
Political party: Republican
Dating status: Married, with children

There's something eye-catching about the sheen of Rep. Vito Fossella's (R-N.Y.) dark brown hair. Looks-wise, he is the tough guy on the block - a sort of Joey-from-"Friends"-meets-"The Sopranos" - with a shy smile.

...Earlier this year, he caused a splash in the New York tabloids when it was revealed he had fathered a child with a woman he had an affair with. The news, which surfaced after Fossella was arrested for driving while intoxicated, shocked even his closest colleagues.

He had been mentioned as a possible 2009 New York mayoral candidate; after the scandal broke, such suggestions have disappeared.

Fossella will be leaving Congress in January. It's not clear what he'll do next.

That's not a good pic, imo.
