NYPD cop intentionally knocks bicyclist down, then arrests him... |

...for supposedly driving the bicycle into him. During "Critical Mass" protest. "Worst Person in the World" of Keith Olbermann: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dt-liFmkIc

1. Every time I see that video I think the bicyclist was trying to avoid the cop |
|
and the cop stepped into the bicyclist's path.
One commentator this morning said that the cop could be charged with perjury for lying in his statement about the incident.

9. Oh yeah - the cop punched the bicyclist |
|
But the cop claims that the bicyclist was trying to run HIM down. To me it looks as though the cop was going out of his way to get the bicyclist. SO assault & battery AND perjury - wonder what else this cop could be charged with?

4. Despicable stuff. Even worse: |
|
They jailed the guy on the bike and accused him of knocking down and roughing -up the cop who knocked him down and roughed him up.
Other cops made sworn statements attesting to this. In other words , committed perjury. Police chief says he won't seek prosecution or dismissal of perjurers ( wattayagonnadoooo?) but will fire the cop who attacked the biker.
Meantime cop's dad... also a NYPD cop ( retired, I believe).... opines that there was nothing wrong with what junior did.
There's a culture of political pathoplogy that runs *deep* in this town. Thank god for cell phones with cameras.

5. NYPD has already taken action... |
|
The officer involved has been stripped off his badge and service weapon and assigned to desk duty. This guy is going to get "buttfucked" in Attica.

16. Even if the cop suffered a loss-of-reason for a few seconds... |
|
...as he knocked over the bicyclist, that doesn't excuse the arrest and false statements he made afterwards.
I want the cop prosecuted.

18. Yes. I prefer when people being saracastic on message boards use... |
|
...the sarcasm tag.
I don't think it ruins a joke.
I usually write "(sarcasm)" below something sarcastic I write for the internet.

There's a lot of inept and stupid humor that requires a tag or a smiley, but your intent was clear (and I laughed)...

if that was a block, it was a horrible one. Notice that his feet aren't square and he drives his shoulders in the direction of the "runner's" movement.

That cop could've opened fire on the bicyclist and put 25 bullets into his head and Guiliani would say he did the right thing.
