Aide to U.S. Senator Jim Webb found dead from apparent gunshot wound By Dan Casey
Frederick W. Hutchins Jr. Guestbook Sign the guestbook for Fred Hutchins Related From The Botetourt View Read the press release from the Botetourt County sheriff's office Earlier Aide to U.S. Senator Jim Webb found dead from apparent gunshot wound (July 29, 2008) Previous coverage New senator has youthful envoy (Jan. 12, 2007) Fred Hutchins, a Botetourt County native who quickly rose through Virginia's political hierarchy to become a staff aide to U.S. Sen. Jim Webb, was found dead near Fincastle on Tuesday morning of a single gunshot wound to the head.
He was 26.
Hutchins' body was found by a Botetourt County deputy just after 7 a.m. outside a vehicle parked on the shoulder of southbound U.S. 220, according to the sheriff's office. A handgun was found beneath the body. The official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office in Roanoke.
The sudden death of Hutchins -- known for his loyalty, humor and unique relationship with Western Virginia's first black delegate -- left friends shocked and baffled over what happened.
"I don't question what God does," said Del. Onzlee Ware, D-Roanoke, with whom Hutchins worked closely as a campaign manager and legislative aide. "He left Fred here for a short time, and he did things most people don't get to do in a lifetime."
Hutchins' family declined to comment. His uncle, the Rev. Bob Hutchins, said, "We don't feel like we can say anything right now until we get some more answers."

I blame Bush for our tinfoiliness. He brought it out in a lot of us.
This poor kid... too young.

5. I hated that it was my first thought |
|
but there it was, because of other deaths in the past--aides seem to be favorite targets, no?--and all those persistent rumors that have floated around forever about the BFEE threatening not the elected officials themselves, but instead family members and others close to them.
I will gladly eat my tinfoil hat if a legitimate reason comes to light, of course, and in the meantime I send light to the young man's family.

7. Why exactly is there a requirement for a "legitimate" reason for somebody's death to come to light? |
|
People have been dying quite regularly for hundreds of thousands of years now and not even aides to well known politicians are immune to that fact of life.

Who speak out against the Neo-Con machine are dropping like flies, it's not a coincidence.
Last time I checked, a gunshot was not a legitimate reason for ANYONE to die.

10. There's a difference between dying of natural causes and a gunshot to the head. |
|

This young man's death is being investigated as an "unnatural death". Not a suicide.

F'n stupidity is that... unless you're afraid and want to let the Hit Man know you wash your hands of any concern for a brutal political assassination.. does god do contract murder..?? if so why does he use a gun..? what must he charge.. maybe first born, and you have to kill him on an altar with a sword..?
i have expected the assassinations to start before this..

gunshot deaths are always suspicious... even if it was a robbery... made to look like a robbery, or a suicide.

He was going to be a greater political operative for the Dems than Karl Rove could have ever been to Republicans. His career would become instrumental in orchestrating the greatest Democratic revival in the nation's history, resulting in a number of reforms that included universal health care and education for life for all US citizens, renewable energy, and technological innovations that would put America firmly at the forefront of the destiny of the human race, ushering in a new era of exploration and discovery that would guarantee our imminent divinity...
But the corporations with the time-lenses could never allow that. :tinfoilhat:
Ok, that's silly of course... but I know of certain operatives who, had they suffered a similar fate years ago, would never have helped visit the current nightmare upon the world.
(I can't find the room where I put that damn time-lense) :silly:
