DU often not accessible today....must leave window open here

Once I close it I can't get back on...has happened about 3 times today, a couple of times yesterday.

Once I can get on it moves pretty fast between forums...except that Journals are NOT accessible at all.

Not even from front page.

Last night there were several blogs that got an "aborted" message from IE7. They work okay today, but now DU is intermittent.

When I try to get here, I just can't access it except every few minutes. :shrug:

6. I got the "aborted" message from IE7 trying to access Rawstory. Several times.

DU has been running fine for me.

A bug in the popular metrics-tracking platform Sitemeter has boxed Internet Explorer users into a quiet little corner of the internet since late yesterday afternoon. Any site using Sitemeter now displays the following cryptic message to IE users: "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site - Operation aborted."

... Here is the fix for users of IE 6 and 7 who are getting the "operation aborted" message.
Follow These Steps Exactly:

Open Internet Explorer.
Click on the menu Tools -> Internet Options.
Click on the tab Security.
Click on the icon Restricted Sites.
Click on the button Sites.
Under Add this website to the zone:
Type the text ‘ *.sitemeter.com ’ (with asterisk and dot & without the quotes).
Click the Add button. Click Close. Click OK.

All sites will work again without error messages coming up.

I can get to the main discussion page and click on maybe one thread - then zip.

After a couple minutes at some other site I can get back and the cycle starts again.

That did not work, so I took off the discuss and just went to the front page.

Twice tonight that happened, though it got better this afternoon.

Still intermittent...just never know.
