Anyone else find it odd...
Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 04:32 PM by ck4829
That when Bush entered office, he chose Rice as his national security adviser and the only thing she had going for her was her supposed expertise with the former USSR, but where is Condi in the current conflict between Russia and Georgia?

"US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has also been noticeably absent on the diplomatic scene, having failed to interrupt her holidays to fly to Tbilisi in support of the Georgian government."

2. Very odd indeed.
Perhaps because her "USSR expertise" was all a lie?

Or is it because there's not enough oil in Georgia?

A caller said that on WJ one morning a couple years ago and I still laugh about it.

Hasn't the last 8 years taught you anything? The word is 'inept' But Tbilisi will probably be in Russian control in a day or two anyway. Soooo .... condi might as well just practice her piano some more.

Then again ..... this could all be 'part of the plan' ......

11. I don't think she was hired for her "diplomatic" skills
She was a mediocre Russian scholar. Some say her Russian is more than a bit "rusty" and she had NO important contacts to speak of.

She probably rubbed people the wrong way for her political views at Stanford. And thus got attention from the RNC as the "token black woman" who would magically dispel the normally racist image of the GOP.

She was never competent.
