Who is really suprised that JE cheated on Elizabeth? |
|
I for one am not. For me his ego and integrity were always his biggest flaws. Just too bad I was right.

DID YOU KNOW? John McCain came back from Vietnam and cheated on his disabled wife before leaving her and his three children and marrying a rich heiress 17 years his junior. McCain obtained a marriage license for his second marriage while he was still married to his first wife. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=106&topic_id=32240&mesg_id=32240Might kill your boredom to send this assignment out to your e mail contacts. Just a thought. Peace.

13. Since you seem to like gutter politics .... maybe your time would be .... |
|
better spent trying to make a difference in getting that information out on John McCain now is all I am saying. It is relevant to the Presidential race. John Edwards isn't running for President NOW is he. The Primary's are OVER .... and if it's his supporters or former supporters you have a problem with then go ahead and hold grudges if it makes you somehow feel vindicated. Just seems petty and Juvenal at this point.
"There are many in DU that absolutely LOVED this guy" .... no shit sherlock, many loved Hillary, Dodd, Kucinich, Bidden ... etc etc... I would ask so what's your point .... but I see no 'point' in it. Peace again.

That is the problem with the American people as a whole. The take what they like and ignore the rest. Like by ignoring it ... it won't happen.

Rumor has it, Senator Obama has fathered two lovely black children.
He also masticated every day for years.
I'd just like a President I can feel confident in...supposedly we have a "faihful" pResident right now...some consolation that is.
Cheers...

Just disgusted.
But looking back at his '08 campaign, the whole thing seems like a facade. His whole populist schtick was rewriting his own very moderate senate voting record. Especially regarding his big issues of fairer trade and economics, it was clear he was running away from his own record, which was largely in line with Clinton's (for the four years they were in the Senate together). Also, looking back, his criticism of Clinton voting for the Iraq War Resolution after he SPONSORED it, seems especially disingenuous. I always thought he seemed a little too slick and too polished...
Oh well, I hope he still meant what he said about fighting poverty and creating a more equitable and fairer society. If he works at it enough, maybe, just maybe he can salvage his reputation.

That all politicians are liars and hypocrites. Of course you can look at it many ways. It is not a power thing because it happens with the average Joe , then you could say Edwards represents the interests of the people being just one of the guys.
It also shows he has little control of himself and if he can't be faithful to his own wife then would he be to the people.

Surprised - but not shocked. Men are men, and as a man, I know that.
It just sucks that the only high-profile politician talking about poverty had to blow it for all of us because he couldn't manage his urges. Oh well, that's life.

32. I consider it my business, and here's why... |
|
Because I and other disadvantaged Americans now have virtually no one of any credibility speaking up for us on the national stage, and that's because Edwards couldn't control his urges. All we have now is Kucinich, and despite the fact that I think he's one of the greatest Americans alive, nobody but the choir is listening.

Always have. I always just knew that he was the lowest form of life ever to crawl out of the swamp. Dirty, low down, sneaky, phony....
I have been salivating for months and months waiting for something really tawdry and salacious and damaging to be revealed, so I could just wallow in my hatred for him and be proven to be right right right and grind and smash all of those Edwards supporters faces into the mud. Suffer and weep you Edwards people. I hope you are so humiliated now that you can't see straight.
Ahhhh it feels so good. I was right, right I tell you and all of you were wrong! I just can't stand idealism and hope and all of those Edwards supporters made me sick. Now it is their turn to cry and I am going to milk it for all it is worth.
