All they can say is "what is Obama going to do to FIX things"..

Reminds me of someone who burns your house down, and then says "how are YOU gonna clean all the miss up?"..

The fact that they admit everything is a mess, means they KNOW that their guy ruined everything, and they actually expect people to allow the "next guy" on their bench to take his place..

Their arguments are getting lamer and lamer..soon they will just need a checklist of "words to say"

Maybe instead of pundits, there could just be a "Tickle Me Elmo" sitting there, and every time the "librul" is done talking, someone could just pull the string for a random word:)

2. They're all about pointing fingers and shifting blame.

It's obvious to everyone but them why things got so bad over the past eight years.

3. "Raise taxes" should be programmed into your Elmo.
I was out running errands on Main St. this afternoon and ran into a local character, well thought of for her generosity and good work in the community but eccentric--she wears bright blue mascara, for instance. Anyway, everyone has seen me carrying signs and protesting the war since 2003, so I am an easily identifiable Dem in this town of 10K. She said, "Do you like Obama? I don't know why people are so crazy about him. He's going to raise our taxes, but I could never vote for John McCain. We have no one to vote for this time!" I said, "I like Obama a lot. He chose Joe Biden for his V.P. Do you like Joe Biden?" She kind of smiled a little. She said, "If he had chosen Hillary I wouldn't vote for her, no way, but I'm afraid Obama is going to raise our taxes." I asked her where she heard that. She said, "It's all over television. Obama is going to raise our taxes!" I said, "He will raise taxes on people who make over $250,000." She chuckled and patted me on the back. She said, "Well, I guess we'll have nothing to worry about! I'll have someone to vote for after all."

You are right. They have nothing to run on and very little to run against.

4. Ask them what needs fixing, make them name it. All of it.
Hell, any of it. Watch them squirm after reciting the laundry list of failures then, in the next breath, attempt to tell you #43's selection and residency have been anything approaching success or a net positive for the nation.

I'm practicing my bug-eyed look of incredulity right now.
