Ok, you've got the Big Dog, Kerry, Richardson and Biden tonight - what songs will be played? |
|
Of course with Clinton they'll have to pull out "Dont Stop Thinking about Tomorrow" since that was his song from 1992
What songs should we bring out for the other 3 great speakers for tonight!

Cause seriously - that's gonna be Biden out there kicking McCain's ass all over the place for the next 70 days. Great song for the pit bull. Not only is it from another American singer (George THorogood) but from another Delawarean too

4. Kerry used that a lot in 2004 |

Kerry could use any of a number of Bruce Springsteen songs - including the one Springsteen wrote referencing his 1971 words
But I think for Kerry it will be "No retreat, no surrender", which is still true. The way he threw himself into helping in 2006, both by leading the Senate on setting a deadline to get out of Iraq and working to elect Democrats and lately the help he has given the Obama team show that even when he lost battle (the election)- he didn't retreat or surrender, but has continued to fight the battle for things he believes in. (He said when he was asked of 2004 at the end of a book event, "We're still fighting" as he reached for Teresa's hand.)
I don't think Clinton will use "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow" as the meaning now bacfires. The next words in the refrain are "yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone." It is all to easy to see Clinton is yesterday - Obama is tomorrow.
As to Biden, I don't know enough of his musical choices - but I can see something that speaks of fighting.
