Hi Adminsitration . . . you have a number of links on HOME page not working ....

over past days --- One of them currently is the Kucinich video and I think it

is probably the mostd ESSENTDIAL call made to America in the last decades ---

said quite clearly . . . and if any link were working, it should be that one --- !!!

It worked for me last night and it's working for me right now. I think the problem may be with your computer or connection. It's not a problem with the home page.

6. The videos on the home page are launched via JavaScript.

If you have that turned off, or you are getting an error, then it may not load the video for you. Depending on the browser that you are using, where to find out if it is disabled or causing errors may not be in the same place as the browser that I'm using. Usually it is found in one of the menu selections called 'preferences' or 'options'. Or you could just lauch the 'help' section and search for JavaScript - that should tell you how to turn it on or off. (Or do a google search for your browser and JavaScript.)

There are some other things on DU that use JavaScript - you could try those to see if they are functioning properly and it is just a problem with the videos. When you are typing a reply the links on that page for the 'HTML lookup table' and the 'Smilies lookup table' both open new windows using JavaScript. The spell check feature also will not work if JavaScript is disabled or not working properly.

It is possible that some ad-blocking software you may have installed is conflicting with the script to lauch the videos on the home page, but the first step to take should probably be to make sure that your JavaScript is enabled and working in the browser that you are using.

By the lack of responses, it looks as though this issue only seems to be happening to you. The videos on the home page are working for myself and the other person that responded to this thread.

Maybe try a different browser to see what happens...
