after landfall and dumping huge amounts of rain on Texas.

The sea surface temperatures in the Gulf are 85 to 90 °F. They weren't predicting this thing to make Cat 4 until right before landfall. If this thing even makes a head fake towards the Tampa Bay region, I'm packing up my family and getting the hell out.
