Crap. is anyone else watching the Gustav coverage on CNN? |
|
the sky is black now...earlier than expected. Anderson Cooper's camera is out. Drew is out too...the wind was just too much.

2. Lots of rain with this system |
|
I was watching Weather Channel and Mike Bettis (sp?) was getting blown around. One of these days I'm hoping one of these storms actually blows one of them away literally.

4. This makes me think of Jon Stewart's snark about them all becoming weather dip sticks |
|
because they were all vying for how deep they could go into the flooded waters.

6. The best report ever was some time ago with the bimbo in the boat |
|
talking about flooding when another reporter just walked by with water barely covering his feet.

|
I'm SERIES!1111!!!
This storm, while being downgraded to a Cat 3, is still very, very big. Its bands are 'way the hell out there, still affecting the west coast of Florida.

Check out the local radar for NOLA on Weather Underground.
The big bad stuff is hitting the tip of the Mississippi where it sticks out into the Gulf. Mobile AL will get hit before NOLA because fo the angle of approach.
