Stumped Repuke Investor with Hypothetical Question
I was engaged in one of those make-shift debates with a Repuke. You know the type, he's for McCain even though McCain's too "Liberal" for him.

Then I asked this Hypothetical question.

Suppose you had $50,000 invested in a stock in which that company made American flags in Illinois. Then, the company decided to have the work done in China, displacing 10,000 American workers. However, as a result of the business decision, your stock would double, would you approve that move.

His answer, "yes, that's capitalism at work in today's global economy."

All those listening on were shocked at his answer. I then said, "one of us doesn't understand the true nature of Patriotism, I'll let you be the judge of which one."

2. I don't get your point
Please explain it.

My point is that Capitalism should have a distinct national and social responsibility.

What's yours?

3. Picture
That is a picture of V.I. Lenin. As in " A capitalist will sell you the rope you need to hang him". In other words, only concerned with short term profits.
