I formally offer Sarah Palin my apologies.. |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 11:40 AM by SoCalDem
She is not a pretend Momma to her daughter's baby..She's just the WORST excuse for a Mom on the planet..
I scoffed at the suggestion that she might have been "wishing Trig" away by her recklessness, but it's becoming apparent that she may well have been doing just that..
By NOT telling anyone until 7 months, and doing all that jogging around , perhaps she was waiting for God to "intervene", and then she would never have had to tell anyone anything about HER pregnancy...and of course the plane trip was the cherry on top of risky behavior..Had the baby not "made it" , it would have been God's will, and she would be the saintly Sarah, who tried valiantly to have that little baby..(another notch in her Championship Belt of Gutsiness)
but you have to hand it to Trig...He's a determined little guy.. He got here anyway..
So Sarah, I apologize for thinking you were covering for your daughter...But I will not apologize for the cavalier way you handled your high risk pregnancy..
Here's hoping you will be a better Grandma, than you have been a mother..
Best of luck to Bristol and her boyfriend.

|
I don't know if that would be the most convenient counter argument to the baby rumor, this one still opens up all the abstinence only methods of birth control to ridicule and discussion. But I still think the abuse of power with trooper gate and doctor gate is the best line of attack with her.

|
There are too many unanswered questions about Sarah Palin's "pregnancy". This announcement doesn't answer any of those questions. If she lied about the pregnancy before she can do it again. Sarah and the McCain campaign need to offer more concrete answers and solid proof before the rumor of her faking a pregnancy is settled.
Demanding answers is not on attack on her daughter or women. The core issue is the candidate's credibility.

20. No, the core issue is the abuse of power. |
|
This is a distraction and will be used against us to show how evil we are questioning this. And if the baby swap issue by some wild chance is true, it won't be a negative to them. Right wingers cover for the children in this manner a lot. To keep pushing this is to disarm a real and damning issue, her abuse of power and corruption.

As one who is a CT skeptic in the first place and found nothing substantial to these rumors, I appreciate your apology.
If we want to make political hay out of this, it's a demonstration of the failure of abstinence only sex education which Governor Palin advocates. To accuse her of unwisely opting bring a child with Down's Syndrome into the world rather than aborting it is out of bounds as everybody knows that would violate her most deeply held beliefs. Even accusing her of risky behavior, other than the plane flight from Texas that is a no-brainer, seems to assume we know that she was going against her doctor's advice.
I join you wishing the best of luck to Miss Palin, her boyfriend and their families, and especially to the unborn child and to Trig.

thought the same thing but didn't want to say it. There is no other explanation to her actions other than she didn't really care whether she had the baby or not. It must have been a surprise and she didn't really want to be pregnant
