WHY Sarah Palin's Teenage Daughter's Pregnancy Is Relevant : |
|
She believes in abstinence-only education. Given the opportunity, THAT is what she and other religious-crazies would prescribe for ALL our children.
Their policies are FAILED policies, as proven by her very own daughter.
Republican Policies (especially religion-infused) = Epic Fail.

1. It shows poor leadership |
|
That's not true, of course, and it's a low blow. But it could be sold as poor leadership.

5. Why have they been allowed to 'own' the subject of 'family values'? |
|
The stupidity and hypocrisy of these people are enough to make one's head cave-in.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden, even though they don't try to impose their moral ideals upon others actually 'walk-the-walk', and don't seem to find it necessary to 'talk-the-talk'. I LOVE that.
THEY are the true 'family values' candidates.

7. That's the part that doesn't get much play. During the vetting process, |
|
Sarah should have stopped everything right there and said something like this:
"Guys! Our family is in a ticklish situation. We've just learned that our teenage daughter is pregnant out of wedlock which could damage your vote from the religious right. Not to mention that I have a five-month-old baby with Downs syndrome. It's just not in the cards, fellas."
But she didn't do it. And the embarrassment heaped on this family is growing incrementally by the hour.
And did Crash's campaign really believe that little sound bite of Palin asking what the hell the VP actually does would not surface?
This whole thing with McCain's campaign is getting weird. The incompetency and the half-assedness of it all.

And not just this poor girl, but her newborn infant as well.

3. Some of those misguided GOP "VALUES" they are so proud of |
|
Yes it is relevant for that reason.
If they had not pushed these values over the last dozen or more years, this would not even be worthy of mention. In fact it would be a none of our business issue.
BUT the GOP and even Sarah Palin has made abstinence ONLY a campaign issue in the past and therefore it gets to bite them in the ASS!
